HS stands for Hidradenitis Suppurativa.

It’s a chronic skin condition that can cause painful bumps, boils, or cyst-like lesions, most commonly in areas where skin rubs together, such as:

  • Underarms
  • Groin
  • Inner thighs
  • Under the breasts
  • Buttocks

HS can look different for everyone and may flare up from time to time. Many people describe it as tender, inflamed, or draining bumps that can be slow to healing.
